This month we have been absolutely besotted with the up-and-coming Russian fashion mogul Miroslava Duma. Mira, as she is affectionately known by friends, has been at the forefront of the burgeoning fashion revolution that has swept across Russia. Her style is the perfect marriage between old Hollywood glamour and modern, tailored lines.
What could be more perfect than a new collection of super-fashionable sunglasses, especially when they’re such a steal! These beauties are available with prescription for our usual delightfully low price of $99 (and free shipping, of course), or without prescription for only $49! What’s more? So, today I’ll be understanding. If you just want to skip the rest of this post and go shop BonLook’s brand new Traveler’s Collection, that’s okay. If not, keep reading and I will share some of our new styles and a little of the inspiration behind the designs!
BonLook’s Traveler’s Collection
It’s like when you find that absolutely perfect little black dress. Or discovering a pair of comfortable heels that go with virtually any outfit. Once you find those sunglasses—you know, those ones that go with every outfit for every occasion—the rest of your look just kind of seem to fall into place.
Over the course of my time here at BonLook, I have become quite partial to changing up my glasses and sunglasses on a daily basis (actually, I frequently change sunglasses multiple times a day). Despite all this eyewear variety that comes with the territory of being a blogger here, I have a few fail-safes that I always gravitate toward when I need a style that goes with everything. Urban Dandy is one of those styles. It was actually my first-ever sunglasses style here, and I still wear them so very frequently.
Putting together a look that embodies Carey Mulligan’s timeless style wasn’t too much of a challenge. The challenge was in keeping each piece as affordable as possible. I think that this look, which combines certain elements of her iconic red carpet simplicity and her day-to-day classic fare, is a pretty big triumph. Not only is each piece individual under $100 (as per the “Get That Look For Less” mantra), but also everything collectively only comes to a staggeringly reasonable $234!
With Father’s Day just around the corner, we thought it’d be fun to throw together a quick gift guide that should both appeal to the sundry sensibilities of all the Dads out there and cater to a wide range of budgets.
The guide is rather minimalistic, but I think there’s truly something here for lots of different types of Dads. The concept: 4 classic kinds of Father’s Day gifts (a beer gift, cufflinks, a handy gadget, and a watch) pitched at two different price points (Budget and Big Bucks).
The whole concept of sweet indulgences that don’t break the bank is the subject of this blog post. After a long, hard week of trying on sunglasses, blogging, and Intagramming/Tweeting/Facebooking (ahem, yeah, I know my job is awesome) I love to pamper myself with an afternoon of relaxation. If you can afford to have a weekly spa day, then kudos to you lucky lady! This post is for the rest of us who love to have a lavish afternoon but don’t want to shell out too much. I’ll be sharing my favourite at-home pamper session where everything comes to less than $100 (hey, just like your future new prescription sunnies!)
Our very own Sophie Boulanger has recently been traipsing around Milan, seeking some style inspiration and scoping out all the upcoming trends for you guys. This week, I sat down with her to discuss her trip and some of the style bombs we can expect to be coming our way in terms of eyewear for Spring 2013 and beyond! Here are some of the highlights from our interview:
